Seven Creative Solutions to Your Money Problems

  1.  My business is … fill in the blank . What other areas could I expand into that are related to what I already do and use the talents and tools I already have? How else could I use my talents? What am I positioned to do? What assets and resources do I already have at my disposal? Make a list of your talents and see if anything clicks as something that you could sell to earn some extra money. (What do people tell you that you do well? WOuld they pay? If you’re doing it anyway, you may as well be paid).  It is best to make extra money doing something you enjoy and have a natural affinity for. What else could you sell to the same people?
  2. In the middle of a sheet of paper, write down what you want to make per month. Then draw six lines out from it, and at the end jou down the first word that pops into your mind. Then draw more branches from those topics and repeat until you run out of ideas. This forces you to make associations and trigger income – generating ideas. Sift through and pick out the most practical. Use some of your other talents.
  3. List everything you could sell for cash.
  4. Collecting unemployment is demeaning and demanding.  But it is YOUR money based on past earnings that you paid in.
  5. Have you ever bought a T shirt at a concert>?  Back of the room sales generate a lot of extra income for everyone from singers to public speakers. The people in the audience get caught up in the moment and want a memento to take with them, so why not oblige them.
  6. Make a list of all the money that is owed to you and collect it!  List all the projects and ideas that you have not finished and choose one to complete.

ACTION TIME

How can I make more money doing what I enjoy? Start by doing a mind map. Relax your mind and eliminate negative thoughts. Then put your name in the middle of the page, and start branching out things you enjoy doing. What hobby could lead to extra income?
